Distribution Schedule
One in four people in Los Angeles County experiences food insecurity. Since June 2024, UCHC has distributed over 285,000 pounds of donated produce to more than 1,000 South LA residents.
Weekday Schedule

Simple, No-Barrier Access
Getting fresh produce for you and your family is simple, fast, and completely free.
- Open to Everyone: Free for all neighbors with no requirements, paperwork, income checks, or patient status needed.
- Walk-Up Distribution: Convenient walk-up service with no appointment or advance registration required.
- What to Bring: Please bring your own reusable bags, boxes, or carts to carry your produce home safely.
How to Sign Up as a Volunteer
Our staff and volunteers work together to build a welcoming, supportive environment for our neighbors.
- Fill Out Form: Complete our online volunteer interest form.
- Pass Background Check: Adults and minors must pass a standard background check completed at no cost to you.
- Orientation: Complete short online orientation after passing your background check
- Minors Ages 12–18: May volunteer independently if a signed Minor Waiver is submitted prior to volunteering.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a UCHC patient to receive food?
No. Both our weekday pantry hours and second Saturday distributions are completely free and open to the entire community. You do not need to be a UCHC patient or show proof of income.
What should I bring with me when I pick up food?
Please bring your own reusable bags, boxes, or pull-carts to carry your produce, as bags are not provided on site.
