Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: May 6, 2026
Our Commitment
Universal Community Health Center (UCHC) is committed to ensuring that our websites, mobile experiences, and other digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to provide an accessible user experience for all and to comply with applicable requirements, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.
Accessibility Standard
Our goal is to provide digital content that conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Because technology and accessibility standards evolve, our efforts to improve the user experience are ongoing.
Notice: Remediation in Progress
We are currently performing a comprehensive accessibility update to uchcla.org. While we work toward full conformance, you may encounter temporary barriers in some areas. We are actively remediating identified issues and expect to complete this phase by July 25, 2026.
Ongoing Efforts
To ensure a high standard of accessibility, we are:
- Incorporating accessibility considerations into our design and development processes.
- Testing pages and key workflows using a combination of automated tools and human review.
- Providing guidance to teams responsible for digital content.
- Working with vendors to support accessibility within the third-party services we use.
Third-Party Content
Some portions of our digital services may include third-party content or functionality (such as maps, payment features, or embedded forms) that we do not fully control. When we identify barriers in these tools, we will work with the provider to find solutions and will offer reasonable alternatives when appropriate.
Updates
We may update this Accessibility Statement from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
