Behavioral Health

The Behavioral Health Specialists at Universal Community Health center collaborate with your Primary Care provider to offer whole-person care that can address the effects caused by medical illness, socio-economic instability, immigration stressors, discrimination stressors, and community and domestic violence.

We help determine the causes, reasons, and triggers for depression, stress, or anxiety. We then identify and plan ways to manage the symptoms to improve your quality of life.

Adverse Childhood Experiences

UCHC Follows the ACEs Aware Methods To Help Patients

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can be highly stressful experiences that can happen to any of us before we turn 18. ACEs are not our fault, and we didn’t have control over when or why they happened. They can be a single event. Or they can be an ongoing struggle where our safety, security, trust, or even our very sense of self is threatened or violated.
